The goal of the AIESEC Ambassadors Programme is very much related to the goal of AIESEC. The main focus is to allow young people the opportunity to develop themselves. By giving them the opportunity
to go abroad, they will have a chance to develop themselves in a personal and professional way. It will also make them more aware and understanding of the many differences between cultures.
As an Ambassador, you will have 3 different focus areas in the country you are sent to. These are a professional, cultural, and humanitarian.
Professional pillar: You will help the local AIESEC Boards with their activities. For example, you will give trainings to the AIESEC Members, visit companies and universities and help
organizing events.
Cultural pillar: During your stay, you will travel and see a lot of the country and its culture. The unique thing about the AIESEC Ambassadors Programme is that you will stay with
local AIESEC students, who will show you around and involve you all kind of activities. Because of this, you will see much more from the country than if you were just there as a tourist!
Humanitarian pillar: You will also cooperate in a humanitarian project. What specific kind of project this is will depend on the country you are sent to. Examples of humanitarian projects
include helping build a school in Lima or helping teenage mothers in Brazil.
