To prepare yourself to Dutch culture and society, we will provide all important things that you need in order to be prepared for your internship as good as possible. AIESEC will be there to help you in
any situations, whenever the Dutch traditions may seem a bit overwhelming.
Once you arrive in the Netherlands you will get a buddy from the Local Committee who will assist you with all the Dutch formalities and will be your first point of contact for all your questions. What can
you expect after you arrive in the Netherlands?
Social
We will pick you up at the Airport/train-station, provide you with your personal buddy for all your questions
and who will accompany to your new house, and give you a city welcome package, a city tour with an explanation on how to get around and of course about the ongoing reception activities.
Formal support
We will handle all formalities with the Dutch institutions, such as registration at the municipality
and aliens police, housing, Dutch bank account, Dutch telephone number. Your buddy will also accompany you to your first day of work and introduce you to the company.
Ongoing activities
In addition to these standard activities, you can expect LC-drinks, cultural dinners, parties and other outings to get to know the Dutch culture and the country a little bit more. These activities will
include typical Dutch festivities, such as Sinterklaas and Queens Day.
