As a trainee manager, the core task will be guiding the international trainees from the moment they are handed over by their account manager. This guiding will not only happen through arranging formalities for the trainee, but also by mentoring their growth and promoting social interaction with the other trainees.
The formalities will entail tasks like calling the municipality to make appointments, while the promotion of social cohesion will be achieved through organising and attending trainee events like going out for dinner together. Making sure that the trainee achieves personal growth during their traineeship is accomplished by having several development chats throughout the traineeship, in which personal goals and the current situation get discussed.
Kristie van der Woude, Trainee Manager AIESEC in Rotterdam, 2018-2019
“The fun thing about being a trainee manager is that you get to meet people from so many different cultures and learn so much about different types of people and the difference in their cultures.”
