Connect with other organisations
As ER Manager you are the basis for the network that your team can use to reach students. This means that you will be a contact point for the university, as well as the study associations and also (when possible) the student associations that are situated in your city.
In addition, it will give you the opportunity to contact businesses for possible sponsorships of marketing activities, which provides a business side to the job. Next to that you will collaborate with people from the internships team for Business to Business (B2B) relations.
Jelle Teeling, External Relations Manager AIESEC in Delft 2017-2018
“As ER manager you have to stay in contact with a lot of different parties, that all prefer a certain way of communication. This teaches you how to approach these different parties, helps you build confidence and shows you how to communicate effectively. Next to that, the function forces you to stay organised and manage your time. All these are qualities you can also benefit from in other aspects of life.”
